Master Classes

Master classes give exceptional teachers the opportunity to learn from a world-class expert and from each other.

Our in-person master classes last a day and are held in inspiring rooms provided by the city’s leading academic and cultural institutions. We will resume these classes once it is safe to do so.

Each of our online master classes is held over two 75-minute sessions. In the first, teachers learn from a master. In the second, participants have a rare and valuable opportunity to exchange ideas with other brilliant teachers.

Teachers apply or are nominated to participate in a master class. Those who are accepted become Fellows of The Academy for Teachers and join our growing community of brilliant educators.

K-12 teachers who work in public, charter, and private schools are eligible. Priority is given to educators from the NYC metropolitan area.
