Stargazing in the Bronx

with Academy Fellow Michael Wilkinson
at Ethical Culture Fieldston Campus
Monday, July 12, 2021 • Backup dates: Tuesday, July 13 • Wednesday, July 14, 2021
8:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.

Registration is closed.

Following a simple picnic dinner, provided by The Academy, Michael Wilkinson will focus your attention on the night sky. There will be a lot to see: a thin crescent moon, the conjunction of Mars and Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, double stars, star clusters, possibly a few nebulae, and the International Space Station. Telescopes will be provided, or you can bring your own. Stay as long as you like!

Academy Fellow Michael Wilkinson is a passionate amateur astronomer, a fourth- and fifth-grade math and science teacher at Ethical Culture Fieldston School, a NASA Master Teacher, and a Space Exploration Expedition Teacher.
